CLcC is led by Barry Schaeffer, a seasoned planner and manager with more than 40 years experience in the information management field. In addition to his work with CLcC, Barry is an associate with the highly respected Gilbane Division of Outsell, Inc., focusing on the role, impact and integration of XML in complex information management challenges.
Since entering the fledging "computer typesetting" industry in 1965, Barry has led or participated in many of the pioneering efforts that grew into the structured information and content management fields. From directory automation to library systems to database publishing to the first major uses of SGML and XML, Barry has worked with equal success from the executive planning suite to the trenches of product and project design and day to day management.
